Bono Bodas de Oro in Chile to increase to over $480,000
The Bono Bodas de Oro in Chile, a financial benefit for couples celebrating 50 years of marriage, will increase starting October 1. The total amount for the couple will rise from $463,000 to $483,000, which equates to $241,000 per person.
To qualify, couples must demonstrate 50 years of marriage, remain neither separated nor divorced, and live in the same household. Applicants must also belong to the most vulnerable 80% of the population according to the Registro Social de Hogares and must have resided in Chile for at least four of the last five years. Widowed individuals may also access the benefit if their spouse passed away after the 50th anniversary and the application is made within the same year of death, or if the spouse passed away during the processing of the benefit.
