Bono Bono exhibition to open in Shibuya for 40th anniversary

The “Bono Bono Exhibition: 40 Years of History” is scheduled to open at the Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA from August 27 to September 27, 2026. The event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the manga serialization and the 10th anniversary of the anime broadcast.

Featured exhibits include original cover art, rare manuscript pages from 4-panel manga scenes, character design materials, and a life-sized Bono Bono figure. On the opening day, creator Mikio Igarashi will perform a live drawing event. The exhibition also offers various merchandise, including collaborations with QuizKnock and special anniversary items.
