Bono East Regional Minister inspects new healthcare facilities

Bono East Regional Minister Francis Owusu Antwi has highlighted two significant healthcare infrastructure developments in the region. In the Techiman North District, an ultramodern CHPS compound has been completed at Kokoago. The facility includes an Out Patient Department, consulting rooms, staff bungalows, and sanitation facilities. The assembly has also provided the compound with furniture, a motorbike, and a refrigerator for drug storage. The Minister commended the project for its quality and the efficient use of the District Assemblies Common Fund.

Additionally, a new health training facility is under construction between Ampoma and Jema. The project aims to expand access to health training education and address admission shortfalls for aspiring health professionals in the region. While the Minister expressed optimism regarding the project's progress, he noted that the current scope lacks essential dining and toilet facilities. He has instructed consultants to request a project scope review from the government to ensure the facility is fully equipped before becoming operational.
