Bonviv app connects strangers through group dinners in Rennes

Bonviv, a new application based in Rennes, France, has launched a service designed to connect strangers through shared dining experiences. Since its debut on August 19, the platform organizes weekly dinners every Wednesday at 7:45 PM in different local restaurants.

Users register via a web application, providing information regarding their age and interests—such as travel, gaming, or entrepreneurship—to help the service curate coherent tables of six participants. To maintain an element of surprise, the specific restaurant location is only revealed the evening before the event, and participants can only communicate with their fellow diners on the day of the meal.

Early participants have reported positive social outcomes, noting the ease of conversation and the opportunity to meet new people in a structured yet fluid environment.
