Book fairs and cultural markets scheduled in Ružomberok and Karviná

Regional book fairs and markets are being organized in Ružomberok, Slovakia, and Karviná, Czech Republic, to promote reading and the circular economy.

In Ružomberok, the Autumn Book Fair will take place on Mostová Street near Café Bare Central. Organized by the civic association Kultúrny Servis, the event encourages the sale of used books, toys, decorations, and other household items at fractional prices to support sustainable consumption. The fair is open to individual sellers who register in advance.

In Karviná, the Regional Library is hosting its 31st traditional book fair in the town square. The event features books in both Czech and Polish, music, and various activities for families, including outdoor games and printing workshops. The program includes musical performances and literary demonstrations such as ‘Čti za nároďák’ and ‘Narodowe czytanie’ to showcase Czech and Polish literature.
