Book presentations scheduled in Avellino and Salerno

Two literary events are scheduled for October 31 in the Campania region of Italy.

In Avellino, the 6th edition of Avellino Letteraria will host the presentation of “Sentieri sospesi: Memoria della Cultura e prospettive territoriali” by sociologist Pasquale Martucci. Held at Villa Amendola, the event will explore the cultural identity, local rituals, and archetypes of the Cilento territory. The presentation includes a dialogue with Martucci involving an anthropologist and a journalist, accompanied by musical performances.

In Salerno, the Pinacoteca Provinciale will host the presentation of “Giuliano Vassalli, legge e libertà” by historian and journalist Mario Avagliano. The book provides a biography of Giuliano Vassalli, a former Minister of Justice and partisan, covering historical periods such as the Roman Resistance and the Via Tasso cases. The work utilizes archival documents and testimonies to examine Vassalli’s political autonomy and his role in the history of the Italian Republic.
