France and Italy announce major cultural and library festivals for late 2026
Various cultural festivals and library initiatives are scheduled across France and Italy for late 2026.
In France, the national “Biblis en folie” event, supported by the Ministry of Culture, will feature over 3,000 free animations, including readings, workshops, and concerts, across the mainland and overseas territories like Mayotte. Additionally, the Lalbenque book festival will host author meetings and a poetry-themed weekend.
In Italy, several regional programs are set to launch. Prato will host its 20th edition of “Un Autunno da sfogliare,” a series of 220 events across the provincial library network. Milan will feature BookCity Milano, which includes the “BookCity Milano 0-6” project for early childhood reading, and the 10th anniversary of Milano Music Week. Other local events include the Festa della Biblioteca in Bollate and various library workshops in Bologna and Trento.
In Milan, the fashion and art sectors also show activity with Milano Scultura and various rooftop events during Fashion Week.
