Booking Holdings posts doubled Q2 profit, forecasts resilient travel demand

Booking Holdings reported a net profit of $1.95 billion for the second quarter, a 118 % increase from a year earlier, while revenue rose 8 % to $7.35 billion. The company booked 325 million room nights, up 5 % YoY, and its gross booking value reached $51 billion, a 9 % rise.

CEO Glenn Fogel said travel demand remains resilient despite geopolitical uncertainty, including the conflict in the Middle East. Booking expects the third quarter to show stable overall demand, with room nights projected to grow 3‑5 % and bookings 4‑6 % versus the same period last year.

The firm’s shift to a merchant model now accounts for about 66.8 % of total revenue, up from 61.3 % a year earlier. Deferred merchant bookings stood at $8.2 billion at the end of March 2026, up from $6.9 billion a year prior, reflecting the timing of cash flows between travelers and providers.
