Bookiranje festival contemporary literature Podgorica Fokalizator publishing literary event

The fourth edition of the contemporary literature festival, ‘Bookiranje’, is scheduled to take place on September 12 and 13 at Book Caffei in Podgorica. Organized by the publishing house Fokalizator, the event features approximately forty participants across literary and musical programs, as well as panels addressing pressing social issues.

The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City of Podgorica. The opening ceremony will be moderated by actress Julija Milačić Petrović Njegoš, featuring a performance by the rock band Prizma.

Key programming includes a panel titled ‘Revisionism and EU Values’ with regional historians, and several book promotions. Featured works include the documentary ‘Uputstvo za rušenje’ by Jonila Godole, the poetry collection ‘Džimi do you love me?’ by Krsto Giljen, and ‘Na rubu kanona’ by Goran Radojičić. The program also includes a presentation of ‘Poljska konjica’ by the late Montenegrin poet Marko Vešović.
