Boomi launches Agent Control Plane for enterprise AI governance

Boomi has announced the launch of its Agent Control Plane, an AI-native infrastructure designed to manage and govern autonomous AI agents within enterprise environments. The platform aims to address critical barriers to AI adoption, specifically focusing on governance gaps, cost management, and data sovereignty.

The Agent Control Plane is vendor- and model-neutral, allowing organizations to connect AI agents to core business systems across public clouds, private clouds, or on-premises environments. It provides centralized visibility through an AI gateway enforcement layer, which helps prevent runaway token costs and mandates human-in-the-loop approvals for agent actions.

This development follows a Gartner forecast stating that by 2027, 40% of enterprises may demote or decommission autonomous AI agents due to governance issues identified after production incidents. Boomi’s solution seeks to mitigate these risks by ensuring data lineage and providing operational control over the AI estate.
