A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on The Bucketts Way near Booral on Sunday morning when a ute towing a horse float rolled and struck two motorcycles. The collision resulted in the death of a man in his 30s at the scene.

A second rider, a man in his 70s, was airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital. As of Monday afternoon, he remained in serious condition with critical leg injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash. An 18-year-old woman driving the ute was taken to Stroud Police Station for a breath analysis and allegedly returned a positive roadside test. While the driver did not require medical treatment at the scene, police confirmed on Monday that she was no longer in custody as investigations continue.
