Booster Robotics launches T2 humanoid platform for embodied AI development

Booster Robotics announced the T2 humanoid platform, a developer‑focused robot designed for embodied AI research, education and industrial applications. The robot was unveiled ahead of its public debut at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2026 and is positioned as the successor to the company’s widely used T1 model.

The T2 stands 1.4 m tall, weighs about 42 kg and offers 31 degrees of freedom with joint torques up to 140 Nm·m, allowing it to lift up to 10 kg with its dual arms. Its computing core is an NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 chip delivering over 2,000 TOPS, making the T2 one of the most powerful humanoid platforms in its class. A suite of sensors—including binocular cameras, hand‑mounted cameras and LiDAR—provides precise environmental perception.

Targeted at research labs, universities and companies developing logistics, manufacturing and other real‑world AI solutions, the platform integrates open‑source tools, comprehensive APIs and the Booster Studio simulation environment to streamline software development and testing. Booster Robotics, founded in 2023 by former ByteDance and Amazon engineer Cheng Hao, recently raised roughly $140 million and aims to expand its ecosystem beyond the T1 and K1 models.
