BOOTH introduces ‘atone’ post-payment service

pixiv Inc. has announced the integration of the post-payment service ‘atone’ into its creative marketplace, BOOTH, effective August 17, 2026. This new payment method allows users to complete purchases and pay later at convenience stores without the need to register bank account or credit card information.

Previously, BOOTH offered bank transfers and convenience store payments, but these required payment within three days of an order. Failure to meet this deadline resulted in automatic cancellations, which occasionally impacted creators by reducing sales opportunities. The introduction of ‘atone’ aims to lower psychological and physical barriers to purchasing by allowing more flexible payment timing, including an option to consolidate a month’s worth of orders into a single payment the following month.
