Boots Riley accuses Delta Airlines of censoring ‘I Love Boosters’

Filmmaker Boots Riley has publicly criticized Delta Airlines for making unauthorized edits to his comedy sci-fi film, ‘I Love Boosters’, which is featured in the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.

Riley stated on social media that while an agreement was reached to use visual blurs for explicit content, the airline instead deleted entire sequences without consultation. The removed footage includes a significant plot twist involving actor Lakeith Stanfield. Riley noted that the airline claims the version cannot be corrected until October and advised viewers to avoid that specific cut.

‘I Love Boosters’ follows a group of shoplifters engaging in ‘fashion-forward philanthropy’ before entering a surreal narrative.
