Booz Allen completes $720 million acquisition of Ultra I&C Mission Solutions

Booz Allen Hamilton has completed the $720 million acquisition of Ultra I&C Mission Solutions, a division of Ultra Electronics Holdings Limited. The deal aims to expand Booz Allen’s defense technology platform by integrating specialized capabilities in secure communications, encryption, edge computing, and battlefield systems.

Through this acquisition, Booz Allen intends to combine Ultra’s commercial products with its existing AI-driven battle management and resilient communications infrastructure. The goal is to provide U.S. and allied defense customers with more robust technology for contested and rapidly changing operational environments, particularly where connectivity to centralized cloud infrastructure may be limited.

The acquired business will operate as the commercial products and solutions component of Booz Allen’s defense technology business, which is led by President Steve Escaravage. CEO Horacio Rozanski stated that the strategic move is intended to help the United States and its allies maintain a decisive advantage on the battlefield.
