Bor announces tender for 74 solar-powered smart bus stops

The city administration of Bor has launched a public procurement process for the installation of 74 new 'smart' bus stops, with an estimated value of 99.8 million dinars.

The project includes three distinct types of stops, all featuring solar power systems with approximately 300 W photovoltaic panels and 1.2 kWh battery storage, allowing them to operate autonomously from the electrical grid. The planned distribution consists of 15 Type 1 stops, 30 Type 2 stops, and 29 Type 3 stops.

Type 1 models will include LED lighting controlled by light sensors and two USB-C charging ports. Type 2 models will add a 24-inch LCD information display for bus arrival times, weather data, and service announcements, which can be updated remotely via GPRS or SMS. The most advanced Type 3 models will feature high-resolution IP video cameras with night mode connected to the city's central surveillance system, as well as free Wi-Fi access points and illuminated LED advertising panels.
