Borba hosts various cultural and community initiatives

The municipality of Borba is hosting several cultural and community initiatives. The town is promoting historical tourism through the Adarve de Borba walking tour, which includes the Castle Wall and a permanent exhibition regarding the city's history from the era of D. Dinis to the present.

Community engagement activities include the first ‘Imagens da Nossa Terra’ photography contest, where the public can vote for their favorite entries on Facebook until September 4. Additionally, the Coro do Vagar musical initiative, directed by singer Mara, is arriving in the region as part of the Évora 2027 European Capital of Culture celebrations.

Local administrative updates include the opening of registrations for the Family Support Component (CAF) at the Rio de Moinhos school between September 7 and 10, and the call for exhibitors for the 2026 Festa da Vinha e do Vinho, with applications open until September 25. The municipality also honored the Banda Filarmónica do Centro Cultural de Borba on National Philharmonic Band Day.
