Borba municipality installs new interpretive panel on Camino de Santiago

The town of Borba in Portugal has installed an interpretive information panel for pilgrims walking the trans‑border Camino de Santiago route. The structure is placed near the Igreja Matriz, the Paços do Concelho and the local tourism office, and was accompanied by a review and replacement of existing signage along the 70‑kilometre stretch that links Badajoz in Spain with the Portuguese Caminho Nascente at Estremoz.

The project is part of the “Caminhos Jacobeus do Oeste Peninsular” initiative, funded by the INTERREG V‑A Spain‑Portugal programme. It aims to improve navigation, highlight the historic, cultural and landscape heritage of the corridor, and promote Borba as a key stage on this international pilgrimage route.
