Bordeaux to host The Bartenders Society 2026 international final

Bordeaux will host the 11th international final of The Bartenders Society cocktail competition on October 25 and 26, 2026. Sponsored by Marie Brizard, Saint James, and Caraïbos, the event returns to the birthplace of the Marie Brizard brand after ten editions held elsewhere.

The competition theme, “A Journey Through Spices,” focuses on the extraction and preservation of aromas, reflecting the historical expertise of Marie Brizard. Seventeen bartenders from five continents, including representatives from France, Spain, the United States, Taiwan, Brazil, and Australia, will compete to create original mixology works combining culinary traditions with spice usage.

A seven-member jury will preside over the event, led by Matthias Giroud, co-founder of Alchimiste Groupe. The panel includes industry figures such as Monica Berg from the United Kingdom, Aki Wang from Taiwan, and Diego Villagrán from Peru, alongside experts in perfumery and spirits journalism.
