Border Guard intercepts 35 migrants in refrigerated truck on A2

On September 14, the Border Guard intercepted a refrigerated truck on the A2 motorway near Nagradowice, close to Poznań, containing 35 migrants of various nationalities. The vehicle was traveling toward the German border via Świecko.

Emergency services, including multiple fire department units, responded to the scene due to the hazardous conditions within the enclosed cargo area. One individual required medical assistance, though no serious injuries were reported. Authorities provided a bus to transport the detainees.

Police and Border Guard officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the transport, the legal status of the individuals, and the role of the driver. Administrative proceedings may follow to determine if the migrants should be transferred to countries where they have previously applied for international protection.
