Border infrastructure expansions launched in Argentina and North America

New border infrastructure projects are being implemented in South America and North America to improve transit and security. In Salvador Mazza, Argentina, a new border control post is being inaugurated as part of the Capricornio Bioceanic Corridor. The facility covers approximately 15,200 square meters and includes offices for tax authorities, Gendarmerie, and municipal services, along with specialized areas for cargo weighing and truck parking.

In the Tijuana-San Ysidro region, a new SENTRI lane has opened on Calle Segunda to reduce wait times for commuters crossing between Mexico and the United States. This expansion aims to facilitate medical, tourist, and commercial mobility. Local health sector representatives have called for continued binational coordination to ensure that improvements to fast-track lanes also benefit general traffic and medical professionals crossing the border.
