Border police officers save 5-year-old child in Primorsko

Two Bulgarian border police officers, Junior Inspectors Angel Mladenov and Miloslav Markov, successfully resuscitated a 5-year-old child in Primorsko on September 7.

The officers, who were part of the Chiprovtsi Border Police Unit under the Dragoman Regional Directorate, were conducting a specialized auto-patrol when a citizen alerted them to a child lying unresponsive near a hotel. Upon arrival, the officers found the child was not breathing. Mladenov performed artificial respiration while Markov provided necessary assistance during the critical minutes of resuscitation.

The child regained consciousness and breathing before emergency medical services arrived. Following hospital treatment, the child has since recovered and returned home. The child's mother contacted the General Directorate Border Police to express her profound gratitude to the officers for their professionalism and humanity.
