Selçuklu Municipality Holds Massive End‑of‑Year Children’s Festival for 198,000 Attendees

Selçuklu Municipality organized the “Yaza Merhaba Karne Şenliği,” a two‑day celebration marking the end of the 2025‑2026 school year. Held in Kelebekler Vadisi Park on 27‑28 June, the event attracted 198,317 participants, including students, families and local officials.

The program featured a range of activities: game zones, inflatable parks, interactive workshops, orientation races, theatrical performances, concerts by the municipal arts high school and the Gedavet Sesler ensemble, and screenings of popular cartoon‑musicals. Organisers emphasized the festival’s aim to give children a joyful start to the summer holidays while promoting cultural and artistic expression.

Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı praised the community’s enthusiasm, stating that the municipality will continue to support children’s education, sports and cultural initiatives. He highlighted the importance of providing facilities that allow young people to discover and develop their talents.
