Boreham Wood rejects £1m Djurgårdens bid for forward Abdul Abdulmalik
Boreham Wood have turned down a second transfer offer from Swedish top‑flight club Djurgårdens IF for 23‑year‑old forward Abdul Abdulmalik. The latest proposal was reported at £1 million (about €1.2 million), following an earlier £750,000 bid.
Abdulmalik, who is eligible to represent Nigeria, scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions last season and was named the National League Young Player of the Season. Boreham Wood value him higher than the offers received and expect a further improved bid before the summer window closes.
The player previously left Millwall, spent time on loan at Wealdstone, and has three caps for England’s U‑17 side. A move to Djurgårdens would see him step up to the Swedish Allsvenskan, but for now he remains with the English National League side.
