Boris Becker discusses family life and fatherhood

Tennis legend Boris Becker shared insights into his personal life and family during the premiere of Franziska van Almsick’s new radio show, “Einfach Franzi,” on Radio Regenbogen.

Becker spoke about the impact of his youngest daughter, Zoë Vittoria, born in November 2025, noting how she has changed his daily routine. He mentioned that he and his wife, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, take turns caring for the child, with Becker enjoying significant time with her on weekends and during family Sunday lunches.

Reflecting on his career, Becker noted that he realized at age 19 that he needed more in life than just professional tennis. He also revealed that the decision to retire from professional tennis was influenced by his eldest son Noah’s enrollment in school in Munich, a plan that was known to his inner circle even if it seemed sudden to the public.
