Former world No. 1 Boris Becker criticised Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek on his podcast, saying her recent results are “not good enough” and that she needs a dramatic overhaul to return to winning form. Becker referred to Swiatek’s third‑round loss to Alex Eala at Wimbledon, which ended her title defence, and noted she has not reached a final at any level since winning Wimbledon in 2025.

He added that despite recent coaching changes – moving from Wim Fissette to Francisco Roig – her performance has not improved. Becker suggested she consider a complete reassessment of her game, coaching setup and psychological support.

Swiatek is currently ranked eighth in the WTA rankings and is set to begin preparations for the US Open series, starting with the Toronto tournament.
