Alexander Zverev reaches Wimbledon final after semifinal win over Arthur Fery

German world No.2 Alexander Zverev defeated British wildcard Arthur Fery 7‑6 (0), 6‑2, 6‑4 in about two hours and thirteen minutes to book his first Wimbledon final appearance. The victory made Zverev the first German to reach the Wimbledon men’s final since Michael Stich in 1991 and the fifth German ever to do so. He said, "It’s fantastic and I’m incredibly happy to have reached the final in a tournament that has historically been difficult for me."

In the other semifinal, Italy’s world No.1 Jannik Sinner beat Serbia’s Novak Djokovic 6‑4, 6‑4, 6‑4, securing his place in the final and guaranteeing he will retain the ATP No.1 ranking regardless of the outcome. Djokovic was seeking his 25th Grand Slam title.

Zverev’s win also moved him to the ATP No.2 spot, overtaking Carlos Alcaraz, who is sidelined with a wrist injury. Former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker called Zverev’s chance "the chance of his life" and predicted a possible German champion. The tournament, held at the All England Club in London, featured a notable Zverev support team including his father, brother Mischa and his dog, as highlighted in media coverage.
