Boris Kollár and Richard Sulík form new political alliance

Boris Kollár and Richard Sulík have announced a formal political alliance ahead of the 2027 Slovak parliamentary elections. The partnership involves rebranding the Sme rodina movement to 'Sme rodina a Sulíkovci'.

The two former parliamentary speakers have agreed on a joint candidate list where positions are divided between their respective supporters. Under the arrangement, Kollár will lead the list, with Sulík in the second position. Jana Bittó Cigániková is also expected to appear on the candidate list in the fourth position.

The alliance aims to focus on economic issues, specifically targeting the current government's fiscal policies, rising debt, and inflation. Kollár stated that the campaign will prioritize the standard of living and the health of public finances over political scandals or personal attacks against current leadership.
