Boris Medina Kirsten honored for mining development in Antofagasta

Boris Medina Kirsten, president of Minera El Abra, has been awarded the Radoslav Razmilic Prize by the Association of Industrialists of Antofagasta (AIA). The distinction was presented during the annual Mining Dinner, an event recognizing executives who have significantly contributed to the industrial strengthening and productive development of the Antofagasta region.

Medina, who serves on the AIA board, noted that the award reflects the work of Minera El Abra over its 30 years of operation, particularly regarding its relationships with local communities and suppliers. The recognition coincides with the company's 30th anniversary and its Operational Continuity Project, which aims to extend its activities for more than four decades and increase copper concentrate production to 932,000 tons per year.
