Borja Penalba and Meritxell Gené to perform Nova Cançó tribute

Borja Penalba and Meritxell Gené will perform a special concert titled ‘D’un temps, d’un país. 30 anys’ at the Casal Català de Tolosa on September 24. The performance is a tribute to the great names of the Nova Cançó movement, including Maria del Mar Bonet, Lluís Llach, Raimon, and Ovidi Montllor.

The event, produced by the Barnasants Festival, features contemporary arrangements of classic songs to preserve their poetic and emotional strength. The concert also includes a tribute to Occitan exile performers by a collective including Guillaume, Serge Lopez, Mustapha, and Hakim Amokrane.
