Borja Sémper marks one year since pancreatic cancer diagnosis

Spanish politician Borja Sémper is marking one year since his pancreatic cancer diagnosis, expressing a desire to use his experience to provide hope and visibility to others facing the disease.

Sémper was recently honored with ‘The Fighter’ award by the Association Against Cancer in Málaga. The recognition celebrates his efforts to normalize the illness and break associated stigmas through his personal testimony. He noted that his journey has transformed him and emphasized the importance of providing encouragement to those currently undergoing treatment.

Following his recovery, Sémper has been spending the summer vacationing with his partner, actress Bárbara Goenaga, and their four children. The family has focused on quality time and rest as they transition into this new stage of life following a difficult year.
