Bork shooting king and queen conclude two-year reign
The two-year reign of Alexander I and Imke I, the shooting king and queen of Bork, is coming to an end. Their term will conclude during the Bürgerschützengilde St. Stephanus Bork festival, held from August 29 to 31.
Reflecting on their time, the couple highlighted milestones such as the 2025 anniversary festival and the decisive king's shot in September 2024. For Alexander, the role fulfilled a childhood dream; he joined the guild in 2016 after growing up in a family deeply involved in the tradition. In 2026, the guild will introduce a new tradition by selecting a children's shooting king for the first time.
