Borçka Karagöl Nature Park attracts thousands of tourists

Borçka Karagöl Tabiat Park, located 27 km from the Borçka district centre in Turkey, spans 368 hectares and draws thousands of visitors each day during the summer months. The park’s pristine lake, mature forests and varied plant life create vivid seasonal colours – green in spring and summer, and shades of yellow, orange, red and brown in autumn – while its walking trails and boat rides on the lake are in high demand.

Visitors such as Şükrü Ataç from Çanakkale and Birol Kutkan from İzmir praised the clean air, natural beauty and biodiversity, calling the area a "paradise" that must be protected. They urged stronger conservation measures, noting the importance of preserving the site for future generations and for water security amid global scarcity.
