Bormes-les-Mimosas offers driving license subsidies for civic service
The town of Bormes-les-Mimosas has launched a new session of its ‘Pass’Engagement’ program, welcoming 14 young participants aged 15 to 23.
Under this initiative, which was originally established in 2017 and is managed by the Espace Orientation Emploi, participants complete 70 hours of civic service within various municipal departments over the course of a year. In exchange, the municipality provides a 600 euro grant to help fund the participant's driving license. To ensure the funds are used specifically for this purpose, the money is paid directly to a local driving school chosen by the youth rather than being given to the individual.
Beyond the financial assistance, the program aims to provide young people with their first professional immersion, helping them develop autonomy and soft skills in a work environment.
