Bormio Cup: Italian team secures 2 wins and 12 podiums

The Bormio Cup international short track speed skating competition concluded at the Palaghiaccio in Bormio, Italy. The Italian team secured a total of two victories and 12 podium finishes across the event.

In the women’s 1,000 meters, Chiara Betti took first place, followed by Anna Falkowska of Poland and Cloe Ollivier of France. In the men’s 1,000 meters, Lorenzo Previtali earned second place, trailing winner Michal Niewinski of Poland and ahead of Australia’s Brendan Corey.

Additional podium results included a third-place finish for the Italian mixed relay team, consisting of Thomas Nadalini, Alessandro Loreggia, Elisa Confortola, and Margherita Betti. The Italian women’s relay team also secured third place, featuring a mixed roster including Pom Straathof from the Netherlands.
