Bornholm municipality investigates 11 properties for building violations
Bornholms Regionskommune has launched an investigation into at least 11 properties following reports of potential building regulation violations. The investigation was prompted by media coverage from TV2 Bornholm regarding unauthorized renovations in Rønne.
Specific cases identified include properties at Søndergade 23 and Åkirkebyvej 190B. In the latter instance, an original house was demolished and replaced with a new single-family home without the municipality receiving required applications for demolition or new construction. The media investigation examined property transactions linked to Vladyslav Nezdolii, his family, and associated companies over the past nine years.
Christian Jørgensen, the head of the Building Department at the municipality, expressed concern regarding the scope of the findings. He noted that the municipality lacks the resources and authority to continuously monitor all construction projects across Bornholm, relying instead on being alerted to potential irregularities.
