Borno hosts San Fermo Trail and debut Borno Vertical race

The 13th edition of the San Fermo Trail is set to take place on the Altopiano del Sole, featuring the debut of a new event called the Borno Vertical. The Borno Vertical will launch on Saturday morning, starting from Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II. The race covers 4.5 km with 800 meters of positive elevation gain, taking runners through the historic center, up dirt paths into the woods, and through the Valle del Moren to a finish line at the foot of Cima Moren.

Saturday's schedule also includes a non-competitive Family Run in the afternoon, followed by an awards ceremony and a foam party. The day will conclude with an athlete session featuring Nadir Maguet, an international competitor in ski mountaineering, skyrunning, and trail running, who will discuss his recent performance on the Matterhorn. The main San Fermo Trail event will follow on Sunday.
