Bornova Mayor implements school zone safety improvements

Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki has inspected new infrastructure improvements designed to enhance safety around schools in the Bornova district of İzmir, including the area surrounding Bornova Anadolu Lisesi. The project involved widening narrow sidewalks and installing protective barriers to separate students from vehicle traffic.

In addition to physical infrastructure, Mayor Eşki addressed rising concerns regarding school violence. Alongside the Bornova City Council, the municipality has launched a security mobilization, calling on parents and School-Family Unions to join a collective effort to protect students both physically and socially.
