Bornova Municipality expands elderly care discounts in İzmir

Bornova Municipality has signed a cooperation protocol with various nursing homes and elderly care centers across İzmir to expand its ‘Health Support Card’ program. Under this one-year agreement, elderly residents of Bornova can access private care centers with discounts of up to 20 percent.

Mayor Ömer Eşki announced that the initiative, which aims to ease the economic and social burden on families struggling with home care, has grown beyond the borders of Bornova. The solidarity network now includes institutions in other İzmir districts, such as Çiğli, Karabağlar, and Bayraklı. The municipality will manage the application processes, determine cardholders, and oversee data security and inspection mechanisms.
