Bornova Municipality inspects sidewalk and road encroachments

Bornova Municipality's municipal police department has launched comprehensive inspections in the Yeşilova Neighborhood to address encroachments on sidewalks and roads. The initiative aims to ensure urban spaces remain safe, organized, and accessible for both pedestrians and vehicles.

During the operations, authorities removed various items placed on public walkways by local businesses, including posters, automobile tires, and umbrellas. Additionally, items left in parks and vacant lots were cleared, and owners of containers placed illegally on roadsides or public land were issued deadlines for their removal.

Mayor Ömer Eşki emphasized that the municipality's objective is not merely to issue fines, but to foster a clean and accessible environment. He noted that while the municipality values the contributions of local businesses, it will not allow individual usage to obstruct the rights of other citizens to use public spaces.
