Bornova Municipality installs shaded shelters for couriers and ATM queues

The Bornova Municipality in İzmir, Turkey, has created covered waiting areas for motor couriers in the Küçükpark district as part of its Motokurye Park project. The shelters, built under a modern canopy, aim to protect couriers from extreme sun and rain, improve their working conditions and help reduce traffic congestion.

In a parallel effort, the municipality added shading structures over the ATMs at the Çamdibi Closed Market, shielding citizens waiting in line from heat in summer and rain in winter. Mayor Ömer Eşki said the initiatives reflect the city’s commitment to solving everyday problems that make life difficult for residents and workers alike.
