Bornova Municipality launches crackdown on illegal rubble dumping

Bornova Municipality has launched a major campaign to combat illegal rubble dumping and prevent environmental pollution in the region. Mayor Ömer Eşki announced that the municipality will increase security measures by utilizing technological infrastructure, including camera surveillance, to monitor vacant lots and roadsides to identify individuals and companies responsible for illegal dumping.

Mayor Eşki emphasized the importance of social solidarity, stating that while the municipality has responsibilities, citizens also have duties to protect their city. He has called on residents to support this environmental movement by reporting illegal activities via a dedicated tip line.
