Bornova Municipality Revamps Four Turf Fields and Doğanlar Stadium

Bornova Municipality in İzmir has completed a major upgrade of its local sports infrastructure. Four artificial‑turf fields and the Doğanlar Stadium were overhauled, with tribunes, dressing rooms, playing surfaces, lighting and perimeter fencing all replaced or refurbished.

The renovations covered the Atatürk Mahallesi field on 909 Street as well as facilities in Büyük Park, Yeşilçam and Yunus Emre neighborhoods. Mayor Ömer Eşki said the work responded to organized requests from parents on social media and was finished quickly. He added that the municipality will soon begin new turf projects in Altındağ, Pınarbaşı and Kızılay districts.
