Bornova Municipality to renovate Erzene neighborhood park via resident feedback

Bornova Municipality has launched a project to modernize the 19 Mayıs 1919 Şehit Yavuz Dinler Park and its adjacent artificial turf football field in the Erzene neighborhood of İzmir. The renovation process will be guided by a participatory approach, where the final design and social facilities are determined based on the direct feedback and requests of local residents.

To facilitate this, municipal teams will conduct door-to-door surveys throughout the neighborhood to identify desired improvements and sports facilities. Bornova Mayor Ömer Eşki stated that the municipality aims to address complaints regarding unused buildings and idle areas within the park by utilizing the collective input of the community rather than implementing top-down decisions.
