Bororó Felipe presents free Brazilian music educational shows in Goiás

Musician, composer, and educator Bororó Felipe is presenting ‘A Maestria da Música Brasileira’, a series of free educational music shows in the state of Goiás. The project combines musical performances with artistic training to explore the rhythms, harmonies, and cultural influences that shaped Brazilian Popular Music (MPB).

The performances are scheduled for October 17 in Senador Canedo at the Auditório do Paço Municipal and October 31 in Hidrolândia. Bororó Felipe, a native of Goiânia with a career spanning over five decades, has previously worked with renowned artists such as Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa, Beth Carvalho, Ivan Lins, and Edu Lobo.

The initiative is supported by the National Aldir Blanc Policy for Culture Promotion (Pnab) and managed by the Goiás State Secretariat of Culture (Secult Goiás). The project aims to bridge the gap between traditional stage performances and the audience by demonstrating the construction of genres like baião and samba.
