Borrazópolis resident Marcos Vinícius Nogueira dies after cancer battle

Marcos Vinícius Nogueira, a resident of Borrazópolis, Paraná, passed away on Tuesday after a more than two-year battle with cancer. The disease affected his lymphatic system and lungs.

Nogueira was receiving intensive care at the Hospital do Rocio in Campo Largo when his condition worsened. His struggle had previously sparked a widespread solidarity movement involving donations and prayers from local residents and people from other regions and countries to help fund high-cost medication.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Cristiane Pires Nogueira, and his four-year-old son, Isaac.
