Borsa İstanbul BIST 100 index falls 2.90% during the week

Borsa İstanbul's BIST 100 index concluded the week with a 2.90 percent decrease, ending at 12,899.35 points. While the index saw fluctuations throughout the week, reaching a high of 13,370.03 and a low of 12,840.20, the overall trend was downward.

In terms of individual stock performance, Tukaş Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret led the gains with a 24.46 percent increase. Other notable gainers included Balsu Gıda (18.21 percent) and Tekfen Holding (13.36 percent). Conversely, several stocks experienced sharp declines exceeding 40 percent, including Ral Yatırım Holding (-40.91 percent), Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik (-40.88 percent), and Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman (-40.88 percent).

Gold prices also faced downward pressure, with 24-karat gram gold decreasing by 1.61 percent to 6,716 lira. In the foreign exchange market, the US Dollar rose by 0.38 percent to 48.9660 lira, while the Euro fell by 0.18 percent to 55.8560 lira. Investment funds saw an average weekly decline of 2.36 percent, though money market funds were the only category to post a gain of 0.66 percent.
