Borsa İstanbul's BIST 100 index closed down 0.5% at 12,374 points on October 6, with a total transaction volume of 107.1 billion TL. While the food and beverage sector rose by 1.6%, the financial leasing and factoring sector saw a significant decline of 6.6%.

Globally, markets remain focused on upcoming Federal Reserve meeting minutes and corporate earnings. While technology and AI-driven growth pushed the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to record highs in the US, investors are closely monitoring employment and inflation data for signals regarding future monetary policy. In Turkey, Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan addressed the TBMM Plan and Budget Commission, noting that outflows from money market funds have largely shifted toward deposits.
