Borse Yacinthe Foundation certifies 65 youths in Sarh
The Borse Yacinthe Foundation has awarded training certificates to 65 young people in Sarh, Chad, as part of its ‘One Youth, One Training’ program. The initiative aims to enhance local employability and address the challenges faced by youth in the Moyen-Chari region.
The three-day training session, held from October 9 to 11, covered several critical areas, including public speaking, community mobilization, mental health and psychosocial support, child protection in emergencies, and the management of gender-based violence.
During the certification ceremony on October 24, the foundation's founder, Borse Yacinthe, emphasized that the certificates should serve as a starting point for active professional integration rather than mere documents. He highlighted the necessity of these programs to combat issues such as delinquency and substance abuse caused by a lack of economic opportunities. Project leader Amadjibeye Prospère also encouraged participants to apply their new skills in daily life. Beneficiaries expressed interest in future sessions covering technical disciplines like electromechanics, carpentry, and IT.
