Borsig steam locomotive to run on Maltanka railway

The Borsig Bn2t, the oldest active steam locomotive in Poland, is scheduled to operate on the Maltanka Park Railway in Poznań on August 29 and 30. Produced in 1925, the 101-year-old machine remains fully functional and will run the route from Maltanka station to Zwierzyniec station, passing through Ptyś and Balbinka.

During the upcoming weekend, the steam engine will depart from Maltanka every full hour, with return trips from Zwierzyniec departing 30 minutes later. While the Borsig will be a highlight, diesel locomotives will also operate to maintain the regular 30-minute service frequency on the line.
